You won’t want to miss this! The third annual “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” is scheduled THIS SATURDAY at the Antelope Valley College football field parking lot. ALAV is proud to partner with the college, Antelope Valley Hospital and the Zonta Club of the Antelope Valley to host this event to raise awareness about gender-based violence. There will be a giant slide for the kids, and information on local programs to help those dealing with gender-based violence. The event runs from 3 to 5 p.m. and features men walking a mile in red high-heeled shoes. Come cheer them on for a good cause, and you can even stick around for the football game afterward as AV College takes on San Diego Mesa. (Separate ticket purchase for the football game.)
