A big thank you to the amazing volunteers who helped us pack backpacks filled with school supplies for students in the Keppel School District, the Department of Children and Family Services, and the Rotary Club of Lancaster! We partnered with students from Desert Christian School and members of the Assistance League of Antelope Valley for this effort. The power of collaboration! On March 14, we were glad to participate in Homes4Families’ fundraiser. Working with other nonprofits is always a plus for both organizations. Homes 4 Families focuses on building affordable, sustainable housing for veterans and their families, and so far has helped more than 400 low-income families achieve their dreams of safe, affordable homeownership.

At our recent chapter meeting, we were treated to inspiring presentations that highlight the impact of our community partnerships. Rotary Club of Lancaster We proudly partner with the Rotary Club of Lancaster on Operation School Bell, providing backpacks and school supplies to both local domestic violence shelters and international communities. Our Assistance League of Antelope Valley members, in collaboration with the Keppel School District, have been instrumental in supporting our Operation School Bell program. Thanks to their generous efforts, we were able to provide 200 students with $150 Walmart gift cards each, which they can use to purchase clothing, shoes, and jackets. On Wednesday, July 24, we assisted 100 students, and we will continue to support another 100 students on Wednesday, July 31.

Recently, we had the privilege of awarding and presenting scholarships to the outstanding graduates of Tech Trek. These exceptional young women have successfully started Tech Trek during their middle school years through their high school years and are now embarking on their college journeys. Each of them boasts a remarkable GPA of 4.0 or above, showcasing not only academic excellence but also a well-rounded skill set. Over the weekend, we had the opportunity to contribute a refrigerator and a scale to Grace Resources—a remarkable organization dedicated to empowering individuals to flourish with dignity. Through their commitment to providing essential resources such as training, education, food, clothing, and spiritual support, Grace Resources embodies compassion and upliftment. It’s a privilege to support such a deserving cause.
