We started our annual backpack project in August. Because of the continued partnership between Assistance League of the Antelope Valley and the Rotary Club of Lancaster, California we were able to provide backpacks to Valley Oasis and Linda Verde Schools. We had backpacks remaining, so we provided them to Guillermo Balcazar and his family to take on their Teachers Teaching Teachers Project in Peru. Recently we received the photos showing some of the children in Peru receiving their backpacks. It is wonderful to see those smiling faces.
