Toys for the Holidays

Assistance League Antelope Valley is proud to contribute toys for children served by the Department of Children and Family Services this holiday season. ALAV is donating 200 presents to children ages 2 months to 15 years. These photos are just a sampling! Interested in helping? This Week: Operation School Bell!

ALAV has donated $25,000 to 250 students from Eastside Union School District  (250 students each receiving $100 Target gift cards) for school supplies and clothing. This is happening this week, from Monday through Thursday, Nov. 19.  On the first night, the majority of the students along with their parents were buying winter clothing. ALAV Proudly Supports ‘Walk a Mile in Her Shoes’

ALAV members were proud to participate in the recent awareness-raising event, “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes: A Walk for Wellness,” benefiting the Forensic Services Unit. The men who participate are sponsored and walk a mile in red high-heeled shoes. The event, in its second year, was very successful and has grown significantly. In its first year they had 10 walkers; this year they had 50.
